| About Us... Located in scenic upstate New York along the Canadian border, HDC Appaloosas is proudly run by the Lavigne Family. Our farm is home to homozygous few spot halter stallion, CLEAR VISION. We pride ourselves on producing outstanding horses that will excel in halter and be a true asset to the Appaloosa breed. We focus on producing a pretty, functional athlete that will make an outstanding equine partner for many years. Visitors are always welcome....the coffee is usually on! Whether you are looking for your next World Champion, your first 4H horse, or just want to pet the horses, stop in and see us! While our emphasis is on breeding competitive halter horses, we will often have performance prospects available as well. We breed our halter horses to not just be beautiful but functional as well. We carefully select our breeding stock and strive to produce horses with good minds & sound bodies that will give their owners much success and joy year after year. Our idea of a perfect horse is one that is pretty, balanced, correct, well muscled, user-friendly, willing to please, built to stand the test of time, and of course, spotted! We network with other respected breeders and are continuously researching so that we can be sure we are producing appaloosas that are competitive and a true asset to this breed.
